SO LONG 2008

This year has been such a trouble-some year. Many, many bad things have happened to my car. No Car = Simple Life. I really believe in that but what can I do? I need my transportation.

Here is a picture of A. oryzae and A. niger. I bought this figure (just A. oryzae) as a souvenir
from Japan. Enjoy watching these cute little bacteria.

Well, so long 2008 and say hello to 2009. I shall exercise seriously next year.

Introduction to Japanese Food 314 (nope, it's not 101)

Soft Drinks @ Convenience Store: Look!!!!!!!! It's Pepsi White. You don't see that everyday here in United States. Left one is Calpis Strawberry Vanilla Latte Flavor (yep, it's such a long and complicated flavor). It's tasty, however, the taste doesn't really stick so if somebody dares me to buy another one, I wouldn't.

Typical Breakfast at Hotel:
That's fairy good amount of breakfast (at least for me because I don't eat that much in the morning). Yes, breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

Wealth of Sea

Look at all these seafood

Lunch Time:

Right one is called "Takoyaki" (It literally means "baked octopus"). Very popular food. They are dumplings made of batter, diced or whole baby octopus, tempura scraps, pickled ginger, green onion, and konnyaku (kind of like jelly/tapioca thing), topped with sauce, green laver, mayonnaise, and katsuobushi (fish shaving). Fish shaving makes it look like it's alive because when it's placed on top of food that's emitting heat, it moves around like crazy.

Left one is called "Taiyaki" (It literally means "baked sea bream"). It is a Japanese fish-shaped cake. The most common filling is red bean paste, but this one I had was filled with soy bean milk cream with red bean. It was my dessert for that day. Yummy!!!

New Blog Entry

Why am I making this new blog? This blog looks cooler than Xanga, that is why.

On Saturday, I finally saw Quantum of Solace. I liked it, I thought it was a lot better than Casino Royale,
but for this movie to make any sense, you have to watch the previous one. I wish they could have combined those two movies as one because Casino Royale ended absurdly (I guess that's why people liked it so much, but I DID NOT). I had whole theater to myself, so that was nice.

Later that day, I went to watch Bulls played against Jazz at United Center with my co-workers. They won 106-98. We got free Big Mac and our section got free Chipotle Burrito coupon.

Derrick Rose is awesome!!!
